Seychelles

Of the 115 islands that make up the Seychelles archipelago, the 41 Inner Islands constitute the oldest granite islands on earth, while the 74 low-lying reef islands radiate tropical paradise.

While on your Seychelles yacht charter, discover the famous double coconuts, coco de mer, in Vallée de Mai and the Aldabra giant tortoises at Curieuse, a protected island. See the most photographed Seychelles scenery at St. Pierre islet or visit the scented vanilla plantations at Union Estate on La Digue, one of the most beautiful islands in the region. Go diving at Silhouette Island or sail to Coco Island and snorkel its arborescent corals. Enjoy bird watching at Aride Island, and the turtles at Cousin Island. There are also the larger islands of Mahé and Praslin to get to know. You’ll find stunning landscapes, relaxed island hopping and plenty of chances for swimming the reefs.

The exposed top of a submerged mountain ridge, the Maldives is the lowest country on earth, with an average height above sea level of just one to three meters (three to six feet). The islands have long been a welcome sight on the horizon among mariners, positioned as they are along ancient trade routes and sea-lanes. Now, as then, sailors are welcomed by Maldivians and find shelter from the Indian Ocean among its countless protected, deep-water anchorages.

Sailing approximately 28 nm Southeast of Phuket brings you to the Phi Phi Islands – one of southern Thailand’s favorite tourist destinations. Stunning anchorages suitable for overnight stays, and the charming villages offer unique lunchtime stops. Many of the islands in this region are ringed with dazzling coral reefs so rich in marine life that you’ll be tempted to spend all of your time in the water.

The Similan Islands are located about 54 nm northwest of Phuket. Just as towering limestone monoliths are a distinguishing geographical feature of southern Thailand, these nine granite islands are distinctive because they are covered by dense tropical jungle. Make sure you visit while you’re on your Thailand sailing charter.

The Whitsunday Islands have enough anchorages to keep you busy for months of happy cruising. Nara Inlet is our recommended first night stop. Nara is easy to reach and its waters are sheltered so you will have a comfortable first night as you get used to the boat. There are several anchorages and moorings to choose from. Stonehaven is popular, and if you are adventure minded, there are waterfalls to explore.

There are so many places to visit on a yacht charter in Australia. Langford Island is a long, mostly sandy strip that nearly disappears at high tide. Langford is a fun daytime stop for relaxing on the beach and for snorkeling on the western end. There are extensive reefs, however, and navigating through them is best in good light with a lookout on the bow of the boat.

Tahiti, which sits within a cruising ground of five groups of islands, is bursting with exciting marine life, emerald volcanic peaks and vivid exotic flowers. Tahiti is part of the Society Islands, an archipelago made up of the Windward and the Leeward Islands. It’s the perfect destination for a yacht charter.

This area boasts some of the most famous, spectacular landscapes in the world, including idyllic Bora Bora for romantics, as well as Raiatea, Huahine, Taha’a, Tupai, Maupiti and Moorea, which you’ll get to discover on a Tahiti yacht charter.
