Daily Cruises: Distances

And cruise at your own pace ...
The Saronic, Argolic and eastern coast of the Peloponnesian Gulf is known for its many cosmopolitan islands, ancient temples, small peaceful fishing villages and unspoiled anchorages. It is a very well protected cruising area with mild winds, averaging Force 3-4. You can start your cruise from our base in Alimos (Kalamaki) Marina, located 30 minutes from Athens International Airport "El. Venizelos" and 6 kilometers from the centre of Athens. The marina can be accessed from the centre of Athens or from the airport by taxi and public bus, which departs every 15 minutes.

Use the following distance-table with the distances in nautical miles and find out easily the approximate cruise-time needed. Keep in mind that duration of the cruise depends on several parameters such as cruising speed, weather conditions and specific route followed.

Table of distances in Nautical Miles
Athina Sounio Aegina Poros Hydra Spetses
Athina 24 18 29 37 52
Sounio 24 32 29 32 48
Aegina 18 32 16 26 43
Poros 29 29 16 13 28
Hydra 37 32 26 13 16
Spetses 52 48 43 28 16

If you divide the distance in Miles by 18 (speed of motor yacht in Miles per hour) you will find the time you need to get from one place to another.
