Basic Keelboat Sailing Standard (101)
Prerequisites: None
General Description: Sailors become able to sail a boat of about 20 feet in length in light to moderate winds and sea conditions in familiar waters without supervision. A preparatory Standard with no auxiliary power or navigation skills required. Successful candidates earn a Greek Safe Boating Certificate approved by the Hellenic Coast Guard.

Basic Coastal Cruising Standard (103)
Prerequisites: Basic Keelboat Sailing Certification
General Description: sailors become able to cruise safely in local and regional waters as both skipper and crew on an auxiliary sailboat of about 20 to 30 feet in length, in moderate winds and sea conditions.

BOTH REALIZED TOGETHER WITHIN one (1) WEEK SAILING COURSE.

The price per person sharing a double cabin is ? 1250 for the week.
Minimum number is 3 people (3 people should enter the same week?s program in order the lessons can be realized).
Maximum number of people is 8 per boat.

General Description: An advanced cruising Standard for individuals with cruising experience. The individual can act as skipper or crew of a 30 - 50 foot boat sailing by day in coastal waters. The Standard includes knowledge of boat systems and maintenance procedures.

Bareboat Chartering Standard (104) - (Intermediate Coastal Cruising Standards) REALIZED WITHIN one (1) WEEK SAILING COURSE.

THE SAILING COURSE (104)
Prerequisites: Basic Keelboat Sailing Certificate

An advanced cruising Standard for individuals with cruising experience. The individual can act as skipper or crew of a 30 - 50 foot boat sailing by day in coastal waters. The Standard includes knowledge of boat systems and maintenance procedures.

INCLUDES: 
? Planning the voyage
? Living afloat
? Weaher
Sailing skills (practice)

? Seamanship
? Routine and weekly maintenance
? Maneuver the boat under power in a confined space
? Dock stern or bow to dock or shore using bow or stern anchor
? Demonstrate basic use of the VHF
? Take a fix using visual bearings
? Pilot a boat into an unfamiliar harbor or anchorage by day using a nautical chartSet and retrieve two anchors set in a Bahamian mooring (for and aft).
? MOB recovery methods under engine and under sail (quick stop)
? Act as skipper and crew on a live-aboard cruise of at least 48 hours


105 (Coastal Navigation Certification))
Prerequisites: Cannot be a stand-alone course. It must be attended together with 104 or 106
General Description:
Able to demonstrate the navigational theory required to safely navigate a sailing vessel in coastal or inland waters. There is no Sailing Skills part to this Standard and practical application since this Sailing Knowledge is found in the Advanced Coastal Cruising Standard


Advanced Coastal Cruising Standard (106)
Prerequisites:
Basic Keelboat Sailing, Basic Coastal Cruising, Bareboat Chartering and Coastal Navigation Certification
General Description: Able to safely act as skipper and crew of a sailing vessel about 30 to 50 feet in length 'm coastal and inland waters, in any conditions.

EASY SAILING OFFERS:
Advanced Coastal Cruising Standard (106)

REALIZED WITHIN one (1) WEEK SAILING COURSE
OR
WITHIN OR WITHIN 10 DAYS SAILING COURSE
The price per person for 10 days
is 1700 euro.
The price per person for one (1) week is 1250 euro.

THE SAILING COURSE (106)
106
Prerequisites: Basic Keelboat Sailing, Basic Coastal Cruising, Bareboat Chartering and Coastal Navigation Certification

Description: Able to safely act as skipper and crew of a sailing vessel about 30 to 50 feet in length in coastal and inland waters, in any conditions.

INCLUDES:  

? Ability to describe in theory true and apparent wind, center of effort and lateral resistance, sail shapes and sail interactions when adjusting the rigging
? Weather. Use of barometer and thermometer, describe clouds and weather expected to be associated with each, local weather
? Advanced Seamanship. Skipper?s and crew?s actions and decision in planning and realization of a voyage under any conditions.
Sailing Skills
? Boat Handling under sail in about 20 knots of wind (30 hours minimum)
? Properly carry out nighttime man overboard procedures
? Spinnaker (Optional)
? Stand a navigation watch during a passage of about 20 miles by night and 20 miles by day and demonstrate all of the skills required for the ASA Coastal Navigation Standard.


Programm director is Mr Vitsaxakis Nicolas - a high-qualified skipper and sailing instructor.
He has graduated from Department of Physical Education and Sports Science of Aristotle University of Thessalonica (1998) with specification in sailing.
Born in Crete in 1974 he grew up by the seaside and learned to sail very young. He is certified from the Greek Ministry of Sports as a 1st class sailing instructor and has applied for the American Sailing Association (ASA) affiliate instructor membership.
From 1995 is a holder of the offshore sailing certificate from ?Offshore Sailing School Macedonia-Thrace?. Since then he has been teaching, skippering, delivering yachts and racing around the Greek seas.
Apart from his in-depth theory knowledge, his extensive experience on the chartering and racing field has helped him develop seamanship skills and re-evaluate all the important and practical things sailors should be taught first.
He studied photography in Athens and Italy and from 2005 he is also being teaching digital imaging in the Supreme Technological Institute of Crete. Nicolas is a photographer himself having worked in Greece, the Balkans, Italy, Spain, Germany, Algeria, and more?
speaks fluently English and communicates in German, Spanish and Italian?
